"Sometimes, in the spirit of Thanksgiving, we reflect on how things could be worse. We appreciate all God has done for us and all of the bountiful blessings that we enjoy. In those times, we may need a change of perspective. There is more to gratefulness and thanksgiving than comparing our life to someone else. Thanksgiving, from a Kingdom of God perspective, is the act of giving thanks, as a fundamental expression, experience, and practice for anyone who is following Christ. Giving thanks to God is core to who we are and what we do. Thanksgiving is so much more than a holiday; it is how we are to live our lives.
