When in Doubt

Our connecting theme during this month of July has been “When in Doubt.” Today, we finish that theme by exploring when we have doubts about our faith and about God Himself. We viewed a clip from the Star Trek Voyager sci-fi TV show. In the clip, Neelix and Commander Chakotay are reviewing the scene that resulted in the death of Neelix for 18 hours until he was brought back to life. Neelix is distraught and disillusioned because the things he had been taught about his experience of death no longer seemed true. Like us from time to time, Neelix, in his humanity, appears to be steeped in doubt as he faces a crisis of faith. Let’s explore our response of faith when confronted by doubts...
