Occupy till I come

This sermon series focuses on what it means for us individually and as a body of believers to be God’s ambassadors in working our mission. The sub-theme for this message is Jesus’ instruction, “Occupy till I come.” Even though we may sulk or complain, we eventually recognize that assigned chores are indications of community, a means of learning responsibility, and building character. Jesus uses parables, stories focused on human characters to illustrate a moral or spiritual lesson. In parables, the reader/listener is asked to make judgements on the events of the story, and as they do so, they make similar judgements about their own lives. We are exploring this parable to ask questions and take actions that cause us to grow in grace, wisdom, stature, and favor with God.
