For Your Heart Today
When we hear the words strong and courageous, we often think about holding on-
holding steady, holding everything together.
But sometimes, strength and courage take a different form.
Sometimes, strength looks like release.
Sometimes, courage looks like letting go.
This week's message invites us to trust God-not only in what we build or carry, but in what we are being asked to surrender.
At the center is Psalm 91-a reminder that God is our refuge, not just in emergencies, but as a place we dwell.
One of the most powerful images from the message is this:
Psalm 91 as our spiritual "911."
When life shakes or fear rises, we don't have to search for help.
We already know where to turn.
And yet, letting go can still feel unsettling-because what we hold often feels like security, identity, even survival.
This message holds two truths together:
God's protection is real.
And trust is often revealed in what we are willing to release.
So the question becomes:
What are we holding that God may be asking us to let go?
3 Takeaways
1. God's presence is where we live, not just where we go in crisis.
Psalm 91 invites us into a posture of dwelling, anchored in His presence.
2. Courage is often expressed through surrender.
Letting go of what feels necessary can be one of the most faithful acts of trust.
3. What we release makes room for what God wants to replenish.
Surrender is not loss-it is trust that God is at work beyond what we can see.
