Sermon Quick Summary
Today graduates, family and friends, and this church family celebrate graduations. Graduations are both an ending of a chapter in our life journey and a beginning of a new path. Celebrating graduation is like standing at a crossroads where two paths diverge each leading to an unknown destination. This crossroads, like many we face in life, can be daunting in its uncertainty, filled with both excitement and fear.
As we stand at crossroads, God has a promise in Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” God, the creator of the universe who holds all wisdom and knowledge, loves you more than you can imagine. God’s wisdom and knowledge encompasses every aspect of your life. God loves you not because of what you have done, but simply because of the unique person God created you to be. You can trust God who will “…make your paths straight…” (Proverbs 3:5-6). God has intentional plans for you that are uniquely designed for you. God’s plans reveal God’s character, unchanged yesterday, today, and forever. God’s plans are designed for your best interests, as underscored in Romans 8:28 “In all things God works for the good of those who love Him…” Embrace God’s plans with faith, even when they diverge from your own.
Trust in God’s wisdom, embrace God’s purpose, and walk confidently into the future, knowing that God is with you every step of the way. Find peace in God’s knowledge, security in God’s plans, and joy in the personal path God has set before you.
